The wait is over! Well, for us anyway. Most of you will have to sit tight until Friday to pick up your new PlayStation 4, but we have been playing with Sony's next-gen console for days. So far we are pretty impressed, but a lot of the online features are still coming online so it is too early to give it a final rating. Nonetheless, check our review to see how Will Greenwald has spending his "work" days.
The Labs are overflowing with new products. It seems like the second the PS4 arrived we picked up the iPad mini. Seamus Condron is clearly no fan of the phablet. And I don't disagree that the phablet is a clumsy form factor that probably makes Jony Ive physically ill. Thing is, consumers love them. They are selling like iPhones. Maybe even better than iPhones. Will Apple come around and give the people what they want?
Everyone has a wireless network, but few of us are happy with the performance of those networks. Fortunately, PCMag's Samara Lynn can tell you exactly where to place your extender for maximum throughput.
Sascha Segan and I talk about the day's top tech news, including the iPad mini going on sale, curved iPhone screen rumors, a virus on the International Space Station, and a Google Glass update. We also take a look at the iRobot Roomba 880.
That's What's New Now for now. Come back on Friday for more top headlines from the Ziff Davis Network.
