The Best Antivirus for 2013
Spring is a kind of transition period for the antivirus industry. Most of the vendors have released a 2013 model, and many include the year in the name. To make it even more of a transition, I recently swept away my old malware samples and replaced them with a new set. Despite these changes, mostly the same products remain at the top of the heap. Here are the best from the current crop of antivirus products.

That story was quickly overshadowed by detailed information about the much more extensive PRISM electronic surveillance program, leaked by NSA tech Edward Snowden.
