Sprint's Brilliant Unlimited Move
I have been picking on Sprint recently, but the company deserves kudos for its latest unlimited guarantee. It has been the only company to offer unlimited data for a while and now it has declared it will uphold that deal forever. This is a great hand for the company to play. Not only will it serve to keep current users from switching, but it is music to the ears of millions of AT&T and Verizon customers who are worried about "going over." PCMag's Sascha Segan has more details on the plan.

Microsoft Security Essentials and McAfee Fail Security Certification
PCMag's Neil Rubenking does his own testing of security software using a collection of malware samples, but he also considers the ratings of other independent testing labs. One of those sources is Dennis Technology Labs, which recently ranked nine of the top antivirus packages on the market. It is no surprise that Microsoft Security Essentials tanked as it's been underperforming for years, but the McAfee results surprise me. Check out SecurityWatch for more details.

Pacific Rim's Jaegers & 10 Other Cool Giant Robots
Giant manmade robots verses giant alien monsters? Sounds like a formula for summer blockbuster to me. (Better than Sharknado, anyway.) PCMag's Eric Griffith runs down the history of giant killer robots including the very first mech, which, of course, is debatable. I guessed Voltron. I was wrong.

Review: Apple's 4-Star AirPort Extreme Base Station
There are really only three things to look for in a wireless router: setup, performance, and design. Of the three, design is probably the least important. I haven't seen my wireless router in months; it's tucked behind some crates in the corner of my apartment. Apple's latest router makes great strides on all fronts. Check out Samara's Lynn's full review to get the details.
