The Best Antivirus Software
The sordid world of malware is always changing and so are our malware tests. Each spring--a relatively quiet time for security software developers--Neil Rubenking updates his collection of viruses, Trojans, and other malware to reflect what is circulating. These are the first results from the 2013 collection and as usual, his testing shows that not all antivirus solutions are created equal.

Amazon's TV Pilots, Rated and Reviewed
Amazon is taking another page from Netflix's book and coming out with its own line of original television programming. Interestingly, Amazon is going a step further and allowing users to rate the programs before they are made. Think of it as crowdsourced audience testing. We've looked at all the prospects and given our scores. Let us know if you agree.

3D Printing Made Easy
Despite all the press that 3D printing has garnered in the past few years, this emerging technology has largely remained the domain of hobbyists, DIYers, and professionals such as architects, product designers, and artists. The Cube 3D Printer ($1,299) attempts to bring 3D printing to the consumer market by focusing on quick setup, a user-friendly experience, and appealing results. In this, it partly succeeds.

Make Any LCD Monitor a Touch Screen With a $5 Sensor
The biggest problem with Windows 8 isn't the underlying code, it is the fact that the interface was designed for touch screens, which most people don't have. Turns out that is relatively easy to remedy. ExtremeTech shows how a $5(!) sensor can turn any display into a touch screen. This is good news for Microsoft.
